Georges Koshi Gimeya Unanimously Elected Head of the DRC Tennis Federation

KINSHASA – Georges Koshi Gimeya was unanimously elected president of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Tennis Federation (Frdctennis) for a four-year term, as reported by the Congolese Press Agency (ACP). The election took place on Saturday during the elective General Assembly held in Kinshasa.

With 15 votes out of 15 voters, Georges Koshi Gimeya achieved a resounding victory during the meeting held at the headquarters of the Congolese Olympic Committee (COC) in the Gombe district, north of the capital.

A Team of 10 to Give New Impetus to Congolese Tennis

The new president of Frdctennis was elected for a four-year term, accompanied by nine collaborators who will hold various positions: first vice-president, second vice-president, third vice-president, fourth vice-president, general secretary, deputy general secretary, general treasurer, deputy general treasurer, and member.

“Promote Youth and National and International Competitions”

Expressing his satisfaction after his election, Georges Koshi Gimeya thanked the voters for their trust. “I am very pleased to have been appointed today as president of Frdctennis by the members of the extraordinary elective General Assembly,” he said.

He also thanked the members of the sub-delegate entities who gave him the opportunity to lead Frdctennis for the next four years. “I promise you that during our term, we will promote youth by ensuring the proper organization of our national competitions, as well as the participation of our national teams in international competitions,” he added.

  • Third Vice-President: Christelle Noella Muoyo

  • General Secretary: Augustin Djweya Bokula
  • Deputy General Secretary: Didier Basumukangi
  • General Treasurer: Christian Katende
  • Deputy General Treasurer: Bola Boleli
  • Member: Philémon Mambu
